Background: Telemedicine is one of the most modern and fastest-growing branches medicine. The common form video consultation. We distinguish between synchronous asynchronous telepsychiatry. This study aims to show benefits using telepsychiatry services, challenges it poses users, evaluate its use against traditional therapy. Materials methods: A review literature from 1956-2023 in EMBASE, OpenKnowledge PubMed databases was conducted. Keywords used were: telepsychiatry, teletherapy, digital psychiatry. Ninety-eight articles were included. Discussion: Telepsychiatry an opportunity for regions affected by medical staff shortages. It bypasses cultural barriers, problem traveling reduces cost point-of-service. patients who do not psychiatrists due discrimination a conservative society. Groups that may find challenging include elderly, blind, deaf.
